coldplays 'Strawberry Swing' video
has any one seen Coldplays Strawbery Swing video?.. its very unique and was just wondering if it was actually drawn with chalk or do you think its shot on a green screen and animated later to look like chalk...

i stopped it at 1:45. i LOVE the song and i LOVE the video. but in no way to they match...there was nothing about the combination that got me excited. not the right video for the song. my opinion.

I don't know about greenscreen but I do think that there was a fair bit of work done in post... I say that because I would imagine that drawing each frame would leave a lot more chalk residue on the background than I could see in the video. I could be wrong though, just my guess.
First time I saw this I was on a holiday and the TV at our accommodation had a loose connection and was in black and white when we watched it. I actually think it looks pretty good without any colour.

It takes stop motion and CEL animation and combines them together.
I don't think it was done on a SLR, It had to be film or video cameras since the end was him in non-stop-motion walking away from the set. |
