Begginer Needs Festival Advice
Where to start? That is the question.
I've been shooting and editing for a couple of years now and have done a couple of freelance type jobs (tv commercials, one documentary etc.), but because I live in such a small "market" I am finding it hard to stay motivated. But I love the craft and have decided to investigate the festival route. I have been looking at the resources on the net about festivals and submitting one's work, but like a Freshman at the Senior dance, I want to find the right place to start and not submit to the "wrong" festival or "level" for one of my experience. Perhaps You reading this knows of what I speak from personal experience and may offer some direction or advice. Sincerely, John Miller |

John,
Check out this web site http://www.withoutabox.com It's for real. "Final Draft" endorses it, and I've noticed several big festivals that indeed say they accept submissions from Withoutabox.com. |
