Web-video issues!
Hi there!
I would appreciate very much if you could verify if films on my website play in your browser? video-film.no Kongeørn (Golden Eagle footage) And most of the other films don't play either, exept for wmv and recently added Norwegian Wood (vimeo embed) video-film.no - gallery I discovered that in one of my laptops the films don't play, while it in another plays fine. What's very strange is that those two laptops has excactly the same operating system, browser and to my knowledge the same update patch from Microsoft!! Technical info. Films are embedded - QT (mov) - generated from a free internet site: Embedded Media HTML Generator Films don't play in my laptop - Dell Latitude D830 - Win XP, SP3 build 2600 (patched with latest security patch via windows update), browser Internet Explorer version 7.0.5730.13 Plays perfectly on the SAME laptop Opera browser versjon 9.63 build 10476 Plays perfectly on stationary Dell Optiplex 745 (same OS and Explorer version as my laptop which don't play) Plays perfectly on Mac Pro - Safari version 3.2.1 So my conclusion is that if it plays fine on most computers and browser, I don't bother. If however I got many reports back of issues playing, I have to find another solution for embedding web-videos! So if you please replay and report if it plays fine and your os and browser version, I'll be very happy! Thanks for your help!

Thanks all for responding, looks like there is an issue on some version of Internet explorer. Maybe I transfer/transcode most of it for Vimeo embedding, but it'll take some time to dig up all my old files.

Hi PJ.
First I had to download a newer version of QT, then it all worked out fine. I've seen through all of your videos, some of them I have seen before on my stationary computer. My laptop PC runs vista/32bit and QT 7.6 No problems with vimeo videos either. PS The weather forecast promise nice and clear weather tomorrow, so I'll be "chasing" some White-throated Dipper :) Geir Inge |

Seems if you have an more up to date install of Quick Time. Had to update to see them. I might suggest trying to use h264 encoded video and put it with a flash player. Can still be in the .mov container. Those are a little more common and easier for most people to up date.
