An interesting article on Forbes' site:

That's very interesting Ken, thanks for posting that.

It is true that Final Cut Pro is making speedy inroads to high end production here. I work on an NBC series, and the current workflow for the editors is to rough cut on two inhouse Avids, then farm out the online. They are working on a proposal to cut the shows on FCP instead and generate the online master inhouse, saving a considerable step.

I just got my dual 1 gig G4, with the intent of supplementing my demo reels I already was outputting to VHS or 3/4" with DVD copies, which are also starting to become acceptable and sometimes preferred here.

It's also great to hear that Apple has swung into the black, it wasn't long ago that they were looking pretty doomed. Go Apple!

Charles...I just got my dual 1 Ghz Mac a couple of weeks ago. Aren't they great? Blazing fast...and quiet to boot.

There was a post by Codeman3D in another thread concerning an article about David Lynch and his Play Staion 2 commercial.

Turns out he did the editing on FCP and the effects with After Effects. Pretty amazing that he's using the same tools as many of us have. (Now...if I could only download his brain....)
