To quote our fearless, if obstreperous, leader, "Behold a radical new concept: intelligent moderation." DVinfo is THE online digital video home for factual knowledge and collegial good will. Welcome home again!

"What is the world coming to if four or five angst-ridden teens can’t gain a tiny bit of satisfaction from starting a puerile and meaningless argument with people they’ve never met? It’s what the internet is all about..."
Ha! Without question, DV Info Net is highly controversial in that it attempts the seemingly impossible: it uses an *internet message board* to disseminate real, usable information which people can carry into their day. Even after seven years of operation, it's still a radical concept for an online forum, definitely. |

Thanks Chris for 'keeping it real' all these years. I post on a board for writers, and they have a couple of forums for 'political' topics. I avoid them like the plague. When I want a political opinion (and believe me, mine are STRONG) I go visit the political websites. Same goes for religion.
I am constantly reminded of a sign above the pool where I learned to scuba dive, waaaaay back in the seventies - "We don't scuba in your toilet, please don't pee in our pool." The civility on this board is nothing short of exemplary. I attribute that to two things. Real Names. Chris Hurd. |

I attribute it to all those folks who understand and encourage the spirit of the proceedings around here... and many of 'em aren't even registered members... but that's okay (we have a very high lurker-to-poster ratio, and there's nothing wrong with that).
