OK this has been a long time coming (and us PS3 owners in Europe are going to get it before some others) but this engadget link has a good informative videoclip showing some of the capabilities.

I can see my 9 year old is going to get very excited about this!!!

DVB is quite the standard in Europe, and that could be a reason it got the tuner. Now if only ATSC gets it's PS3 DVR accessory.
