Starting a website. How?
Please forgive such a basic, obvious question, but I am so impressed with the footage you guys have up. I come from sitcom writing and my tech savvy is very low, but I'm trying to learn.
Is there a thread here (or anywhere) giving tips on setting up a website designed for webcasting high quality footage? Compression settings, etc.? I've been using blogspot and I have a few shorts up, which has been fine since they were mostly practice, but as I get better I will want to show these shorts at their best. Thanks in advance. |

Is it that you want to set up a website yourself or just somewhere that you can host high quality footage?
If you just want a good high quality web hosting site try www.stage6.com which is a divX site which works pretty well for HD stuff. If you are talking about hosting your own website thats out of my league as there are heaps of different ways to go depending on how much time and cash you want to spend. Jon |

Get a awsome girlfriend who knows Dreamweaver and Photoshop, and is willing to build you a site. Then your set. =)

thanks
Thanks for the responses and sorry about the wrong forum. I have an A1 so that's the forum I read 90% of the time.
Johnathan, I set up an account on stage6, thanks for the tip. Jimmy, good suggestion, but my current girlfriend said "no." |
