With humble apologies to Maj Gen WH Rupertus
This is my Z1.
There are many like it, but this one is MINE. My Z1 is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My Z1 without me is useless. Without my Z1, I am useless. I must focus my Z1 true. I must shoot straighter than my interviewee (who wants to kill me). I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will... My Z1 and I know that what counts in video is not the tape we record, the peak of our whites, nor the dBs of our tone. We know it is the shots that count. We will shoot... My Z1 is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its menus, and its switches. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage. I will keep my Z1 clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will... Before God I swear this creed. My Z1 and I are the defenders of my craft. We are the masters of our production. We are the saviors of my bank balance. So be it, until there is no enemy, but PAYMENT. -- with profound apologies to... -- Maj Gen WH Rupertus http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minst...oems/1110.html |

Brilliant adaptation, Matt -- of course non-Z1 owners can insert their choice of camera and it would still read great.
