Eeek! Crazy computer troubles
Okay, my computer just turned itself off, as if the power was cut to it. 3 times in a row, starting a bit ago. First time in the middle of work, second time during starting windows, third time shortly after I had started windows and got back to work.
Does this sound like a power supply issue to you guys? C |

Yeah, sounds like your power supply is in the crapper. Get an Antec Neo power or something.

Shite. Tis what I thought... and this is a fairly new PSU, too!

Avoid Antec like the plague if your computer has a high spec. There is really only one or two companies who manufacture "good" power supplies, all the others are just marketing gimicks.
If you can afford one, buy a "PC Power and Cooling" unit. Naff company name but their PSUs are second to none. If your power supply doesn't cost atleast what your motherboard cost you are in trouble. My little rule of thumb. |

Problem solved, at least for the time being. I snugged all the connections in, and it worked for a day without losing power, then back to the old routine.
So.... I unplugged everything, and replugged. It's been working for about a week now! Woooo! Carl |
