Robert: that is what I meant. Just don't know if it translates like
that *exactly*...

Er, what I meant to say was that the producer is John Locke as well.

I wondered who "Ivan Zamók", the credited producer, was.

Robert wins the prize again. Zamók is "lock" and, of course, "Ivan" is another form of John.

I work with a Russian friend and she told me the Romanized spelling.

Thought I should mention...last night my episode was screened by a Tokyo film group called "Film Marmalade"...they had a big screen set up in a bar, and about 11 people brought their films for screening. It was a smaller crowd than usual last night...about 60 total (first time I went it was about 100)...unfortunately only about 30 when they showed mine because I was first on the list and the crowd didn't swell until about halfway through the list. But what a great experience that was! Lots of good films, everyone encouraging each other...and I met some good contacts.

Get your films out there!

John,

I must admit, I was at work today when I came across this post and could not wait to get home to check out the movie.

You should be extremely proud of your work. You have set the standard for the remaining episodes.

Congrats to you and to all who are involved.

Bill

I would have let somebody else take a crack at it, except that I'm really curious about this prize.

Peter: "Whoa-ho, now look, Slick, we're not going to buy your lousy timeshare, all right? Now where's my boat?"
Salesman: "Ho-ho-hold on! You have a choice! You can have the boat, or... the MYSTERY BOX!"
Lois: "What, are you crazy? We'll take the boat."
Peter: "Now, now, not so fast, Lois. A boat's a boat, but the mystery box could be anything. It could even be a boat! You know how much we've wanted one of those!"
Lois: "Then let's just--"
Peter: "We'll take the box!" -->>>

What film is that from, Robert? That's a crack-up.

And I thought you guys were referring to Cool Hand Luke with "Respect mah auth-or-i-tay"...what film is that? (sorry...I'm living in the land of delayed movie releases)

Heh, they are both from TV cartoons.
The first is Family Guy, the second is South Park.

Family Guy, the greatest show in the history of television...

In the car on the way home.
Lois: "'We'll take the box!' You gave up a boat for free tickets to a crappy comedy club."
Peter: "C'mon, Lois! You're acting like this is the first time I've ever done something stupid. You remember the time I was supposed to get that boat?"
Flashback to the timeshare office.
Peter: "A boat's a boat, but the mystery box could be anything. It could even be a boat! You know how much we've wanted one of those!"
Lois: "Then let's just--"
Peter: "We'll take the box!"
Back in the car.
Lois: "Peter, that just happened ten minutes ago."
Peter: "Who cares, I bet nobody took the boat. Who could resist the call of the mystery box?!"
All the neighbors drive by with their new boats.

That's why I didn't catch it...never seen either of them. (sigh)

We DO get The Simpsons and King of the Hill over here at least.

And you guys are missing out on some great Manga. Rik, what's the name of the one with the four naked superhero girls? (whenever they have to transform from ordinary girls to superheroes their clothes explode off them...and it's for kids!)

Just a little warning. Don't go to www.ladyx.com. I went there looking for the website for these videos, and it's something totally different. :D
