VideoMarathon
Hi:
Nice concept contest: Videomarathon is held in Denmark, Sweeden and Norway. Basically, people with/out experience, but with camera all sign up. At a set time, a theme is announced, I can tell that this year in Copenhagen, Denmark, the theme is "lies" which is then to be interpreted by the individual participant. The participants then have 48hs to cook up something, that is record and edit - nothing from the archives! Each contribution is an individual project, it is allowed to have actors and assistants while recording but cutting must be done alone. Checkout: http://www.videomarathon.com/ Some pages may be in Scandinavian languages. Maybe an idea to roll of here? The theme is sent by e-mail and contributions uploaded to a common server. Of course, doing this on-line opens tons of options for cheating - but we're all honest - right? :-) Cheers, Erik |

That's a film challenge. There are lots of them around ... some 25 hours, some 48 hours ... I even saw an 8 hour one. Google something like "24 hour film challenge" and you should get lots of hits
They've been running here in Toronto for a few years now. |

150 filmmakers complete 19 shorts in 10 hours
You might find this interesting. We just completed our 4th Annual 10Hr Film Festival last month. This year was our best attendance, 20 teams entered, 19 finished.
Read about it on our website: www.TiPTOEfilms.org. See a few of the completed pieces at a local blog:knoxvillefilms.com We haven't get them up on our site yet, hopefully this week. iPaul
