(A Procrastinated) Hi from Toronto
I've been working with video for just a few years. I'm a visual artist and use video as an element in some projects or as a work in itself. The only video camera I currently own is a consumer grade Panasonic (PV-GS300) but am excited to finally have the opportunity to upgrade. I started working with video for a particular project in 2008 and enjoy the possibilities of the medium - and really like how much less storage space video takes compared to my larger paintings.
Most of the projects I'm involved in are a two-person collaboration under our collective's name, WeSee Inc. (here's our website: WeSee Inc. Intro). Our first collaborative video project was selected for the 2012 Washington DC Independent Film Festival. Very flattering especially considering the vision and quality of the other selections. We also run Roadside Attractions, a storefront window art space at the front of our studio. I look forward to learning from this community and hope that perhaps I might even be able to contribute in a positive way. |
