I've been a member here for years but recently relocated.

I've been involved in media training for the past several years in Kenya through my school, the East African Media Institute. Although I'm now in Las Vegas for several months before I get back to business in Africa!

I’ve launched a project on Kickstarter to help young, disadvantaged filmmakers in Kenya make micro-budget films: 100 Films and Counting by Donald Giesen — Kickstarter

We are trying to raise funds to make 100 films at an average cost of $75 per film. I founded and operate a media training school in Kenya, the East African Media Institute, and I have come across so many talented and passionate storytellers who do not have the opportunity to even get their hands on a camera. Therefore this project will give them this opportunity and act as a stepping stone for many of them in the journey as filmmakers.
