Western Australian types represent
I don't know if it's beyond the pale here, but I'm starting a reddit page for the sharing of local info for us people from the far end of the earth.
If you're from there/here why not stop by and let us know what you're up to. Perth Production |

Rather than going to Reddit, why not stay here on DVi?
What advantage is there to Reddit, is my question I guess. There are quite a number of good folk here from WA. |

Re: Western Australian types represent
The advantage of reddit itself I'm not too sure about, as far as a platform. It's essentially a convenient way to set up a small forum without hosting a vbulletin or something similar, which is a bit beyond me at the moment. I'll have to see how it pans out.
I don't think anyone should leave DVI of course. But I'm trying to set up a place where all manner of production folks can talk; actors, crew, makeup artists, designers, animators, dancers, places to find props, locations, equipment. It's all very locally driven. While DVI's coverage is broad it is mostly tech and tech people, which is only part of what I'm hoping to cover. Something as broad yet specifically located seemed a bit outside DVIs general thrust. The DVI folks would make valuable contributors if they were so inclined. Or it might turn into a resource they want to use at some point. |
