Hello from the suburbs of Chicago!
Hello everybody!
A little about myself: I'm 16, and got interested in creative video about a year ago. I'm now starting to look at event videography as something I can actually profit from. I respect cinema as an art, but I'm fascinated by the business side of things, and look forward to chatting on the "Taking Care of Business" subforum. On top of that, I'm a gear-junkie and a sucker for numbers. I've been trawling forums for information for half my life, and if I see misquoted specs, I get angry.
I am a 550D/T2i user, and actively follow the development of Magic Lantern. Incidentally, one of my videos received heavy traffic from the DVinfo ML thread. Thanks for that. I have an HF200 as well, which I am severely disappointed with. I know better now. I'm a perfectionist on a budget, so my kit consistently disappoints me on one end or the other. If I get a business going, my plan is to buy an HMC150 or an NX5. My dream camera is the AF100, which I believe does just about everything right (short of form-factor).
That was probably more than anyone wanted to read. If you took the time to read it, I commend you. You are a braver forum-er than I. Thanks for having me here, everyone.
