Hi from Toronto, Ontario
I've been on the forum for a while now, but want to get out their and start participating more regularly.
I'm currently 17 finishing up my last year of high school with plans to head over to vancouver next year to attend Vancouver Film School for Film Production. I've been involved with video/film since I was 12. Never taken any formal courses, i'm mostly self taught, but have worked with some great mentors. I'm currently shooting w/ dslrs as they off the best bang for your buck on the market. I personally shoot with the canon 5d mkII and canon l-series glass, however i've been tempted to switch over to the zeiss zf mount lenses. my background has mainly been weddings. i spent almost a year of my life working for cinematography studio based in toronto as an intern, but i'm on my own journey now. over the past year, i've had some great exposure to commercial sets, and am learning the ways to run a business and hope to take that somewhere in the future. Please feel free to take a look at some of my work and let me know what you think! My portfolio is on vimeo at Mark Klassen (Revere Films) on Vimeo I would love to meet some local Torontonians on here, that be pretty sweet. All the best :)

Good stuff, Mark. Keep it up. Some time after college, I also went to a trade school. It was a very good move for me. I think it's going to be very rewarding studying out in Vancouver for you, as well. Best of luck and stay creative.
