Hello from north of New Orleans! at DVinfo.net

Just joined the group. Thanks for having me! I come from Abita Springs, LA which is the home of Abita Beer and north of New Orleans (once you get across the lake!). I used to teach video production a while back and produce and edit educational, commercial, and corporate video.

Now I teach at an elementary school in New Orleans and work at producing my own indie productions on the side. I currently shoot with a Sony PD-170 and Canon HV30 and edit with the Adobe production Pro CS4 suite on a Dell Precision M4400 laptop with an external eSata G-Raid and MXO2 mini device and have just finished building an i7 920 based monster with 12 GB RAM and an internal 2TB RAID for video.

I am keeping up with the forums and intend to upgrade my 170 to something else, like AVCHD on the Sony AX2000! It'll be a wild ride!
