Steven, you are right about Louisville, I go there often on buisness. Back in November I took part in the large multi Agency "River City WMD" exercise there. A great City. Bob

Things here have really been busy. The Mayor is re-developing downtown and we're going to have a new world class historical museum. www.frazierarmsmuseum.org
Being a Jimmy Jib operator, I'm in demand on many fronts here. Seems I've found a market that no one else tapped into and it's like the golden Goose...it keeps printing money! We produce a lot of indy films here as well as a very viable commercial market. We have lots of DV producers here, and since it's becoming more accepted in the "real world", we're seeing more people trying new projects on DV and entering into the market. The only problem we seem to have is in the budget area. With SO many wanting to be producers & directors, everyone "seems" to have a good idea but they forget about the monetary aspect of producing. Everyone wants to produce the next "epic" but when it comes to pay, most have very small budgets and this excludes them from the "real" crews that can help them along the way. Since I have the only Jib around, I lower my rates to give them the "look" of the bigger productions but sometimes I can't, when the guy next door wants to pay the "normal" rate on the same day. Since the Wife has grown really fond of having a roof over the house, you know what I have to do.
