I saw someone with a 24P today. I was taking pictures with my Nikon FM2T and he was videoing me taking pictures (with my Nikon FM2T). This was at Kits Beach (no, not Wreck Beach) late afternoon.
2 reasons: * if you already have pal gear, including PAL TV * sending footage to your loved ones in PALsville - why convert? Just shoot PAL. :-)) |

The unusual intro. muahahah!
Hi! Hello! and Greetings!
I'm Kaleem Maxwell, from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (just west of Toronto). I am currently a 4th year university student studying multimedia. Right now I run a media endevour, K-Max Media Entertainment which covers niche shows like fandom events, bodybuilding shows and more. I've recently started video services and hope to do well. My site's URL is: www.kmaxmedia.com My first camera was a JVC GR-DVA1 (yes, a DV camera with NO firewire... ugh) but I am now a proud owner of a Canon GL2... so now I can rule the screens muahahah! I use a pinnacle DV500 card with Premiere 6.5. Also had experience in doing TV studio work and after effects. Well, nice to meet everyone and hope to get to know some of you guys... |

Sure, maybe we can work together one day. I've done web programming, so if you're looking for assistance in doing, web stuff feel free to pick at my brain.

Hello from Waterloo Ontario Canada / Question Re: GL2
Hi everybody. I am graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University at the end of the term with a BSc in biology, but my real passion lies in video production and web design. I currently own a lowish end, consumer camera (ZR60) and have decided to take just a *slight* step up and go with the GL2. I have been researching a lot, and thanks mostly to this site, i am very confident with my decision. I will be doing the customary after-graduation tour of Europe this summer, and the GL2 looks like it'll be very portable.
I have one question that I'm hoping you can answer... I am looking on eBay for new GL2s and i've found this reseller: <link removed by moderator> US $2,299.99 (Approximately _C $2,832.09) gets you the GL2 along with a bunch of bonuses. I just want to know if this is a good deal or if some of you experts see something wrong with the deal. The member has a Feedback Score of 21347 and Positive Feedback of 99.2%, so I'm not so nervous about getting ripped off, just wanted to double check. Thank you, Alex MacDonald |

Hello Alex and welcome aboard DVInfo.net!
If it is too good to be true.... if it is a company then they are probably not includig the full package or trying to sell you all sort of expensive accessoires. Please stick with our board sponsors, they are hand picked by Chris for being the best in the business. They offer good real world prices, excellent service and you will help maintain this board. You can do searches on this board for the various sponsors to see that they are highly regarded. Thank you! Edit: I just checked EVS and they have it for $2295.95 as well: http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/m...roduct_Count=0 B&H just gave me a quote of: $2,095.00

If I'm not mistaken, if you buy it from the US, you will have to ship it back there for the warrenty. You'd be best to phone and ask though.
