Hello My Name Is... at DVinfo.net

Hi everyone...just wanted to introduce myself to this fantastic board. My name is...well it's Brian Bechard...that's one of the things I love about this site...no hiding behind usernames. Sort of a DV forum for grown-ups I guess. Anyway I'm new to the world of desktop editing and all, but I do have 6 years of experience shooting video of all sorts for my local NBC affiliate. Great job...I get to see stuff most people will never experience. It's this love for my day job that lead me to the world of DV. I own a VX2000 and am in the process of buying and intalling Vegas on my desktop so this is an exciting time for me. My wife and I eventually want to shoot weddings and other events for a little spending money. However right now I'm focusing on mastering vegas and learning how to manipulate my tiny VX (I'm used to the fullsized Sony Betacams). Well I'll thank you all in advance for your help as I'm sure you will get more than enough questions from me over the coming months.

My experience, at the age of 53, is precisely 2.5 years of paid for videography. Shall I keep going? Yer try and stop me! . .
