Greetings from Denver

Hi everyone!

I'm relatively new to the DV scene, and I look forward to chatting with all of you.

I have a limited background (so far) and I'm very eager to learn everything (or as close to everything) I can.

I am very pleased to meet you all!

Hey Chris,
I'm up in Loveland, and I've been into this for about a year. What are your intrests? What do you hope to do? I'm gearing up for a short right now and I'll be looking for people... Maybe we can hook up.

Michael

Yes sir, the check is in the mail."

I should probably go into more detail on my background. My experience is with editing and not camera work, but the experience with editing I've had was with an Amiga 2000 and a Video Toaster.

I recently purchased a Canon XL1S and a Monfrotto tripod with the 501 tripod head. I have a few filters, and that's about it.

Currently, I am planning on using the camera for a few short films.

My interests are gaming, and watching movies. I watch pretty much anything. I am a huge Kurosawa fan. I currently can't do much of anything right now, as the mandatory overtime from work has wrecked havok on my hands. I go in to see if I need surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. Wish me luck!

Another Denverite Newbie!

Greetings, fellow Coloradans! I live in Lafayette. I am a professional theatrical designer and photographer, and have some previous filmmaking and video experience.

I have just recently joined the DVi Community as well, and am currently gearing myself up - GL2, Premiere Pro, new shotgun mike, etc.

I know a whole lot about lighting, for both theater and video. I am planning to find commercial means to support this habit, and also make shorts and independent features before too long.

Another Colorado front range member

Hi Folks,

I'm in Boulder and am also fairly new to DV. I'm very interested in working on short films to get experience in all areas of narrative filmmaking: cinematography, lighting, sound, screenwriting, etc. I've got a bit of gear (DVX100A, etc.) and a lot of enthusiasm. Looking forward to talking further with other Coloradans!

Hello fellow Coloradoans. I am from Lakewood CO and am fairly new to the DV community. My background is in still photography. I have owned an XL1 for about a year as of Jan. 2005. If I can be of any assistance to anyone locally please let me know, I would love to help. By assistance I mean if you need another XL1 to shoot with in a short film or whatever, please contact me. Or if you want to go out and shoot something, I would love to come along. As of right now, I have zero experience editing footage so I can't help anyone there. Click the links below to look at my XL1 equipment and still photography.
