Hello from SLC, Utah! bought the XL1s yesterday
Hi! I bought the camera yesterday after a year and a half of wanting it, ha! Im 17, i use FCP 3 and all that jazz, im mainly doing this for fun, but while i have the stuff why not do a wedding video company? im locing the camera, my parents keep laughing at me because i just cant put it down! well its good to be here as an owner of the camera and not just a spectator!

Hellooo Riley!
Congratulations on grabbing your new XL1s. It sounds like you'll have a ball with it. Hang around here for a while and your parents had better lock-up their credit cards. You certainly live in a beautiful spot on the planet for having a good camera.
Welcome!

Riley,
welcome to the XL-1 club! It's only a matter of time before you'll want to get a 2nd XL-1s. Don't show your parents this thread :-) What school do you go to? I spent a year of high school in SLC, Judge Memorial H.S. Great city. BTW, is Classic Roller Rink (in between 21st South and I-80 on State Street) still around? Have fun with your XL-1s!

Oh yeah, i AM having a ball, my parents already hid the cards! my parents are already getting ready to hid em, yeah SLC is way neat, my brother and i are actually thinking of throwing together like a travel documentary thing about SLC, and seeing if the travel channel wants a go with it, so who knows! this may turn out to be better then i ever thought! I go to West Jordan High, so im technically living in west jordan, but its easier to just say SLC, and yeah Classic is still around, they added a skate park and stuff to it, but it turned it a hang out place for kids from like 10-13 to go pick up on girls, hehehe i love watching youngins' looking for love, its funny, anyway, i gotta go pack! im going on a big hiking trip, too bad i cant take the camera, my pack is already full, i guess stills will have to do!
thanks for the warm welcome!
