Just thought i would say hi, I am from Manchester specifically, ...the name is Dan, and I have recently had a lot of help from this forum in relation to buying my first camera just by reading the great threads!

I took the plunge for the first time, and I am now a happy owner of the Sony HVR Z5E! I have only been using an XM2 up until now, and that wasn't even my own, so I am mighty pleased.

I am currently in my first year at University, and I am looking for like-minded film peoples in my area! I am interested in most aspects of film making, editing in Premiere seems to be my fav tho. I am currently working on 2 documentaries, both in pre-production, one on alzheimers, and the other asylum seekers in the north.

Anyone local?
