Anybody here from Southwest Montana?
I am new on this forum (approved about 20 minutes ago) and was looking to see if anyone was from the Bozeman, Montana area. I found some posts that were put up several years ago, so I don't know if those people are still here or not.
I am 19 years old, and haven't been shooting video for very long (maybe six months). While I don't have a lot of experience under my belt, I can say that I am loving every minute of it! Right now I am working as a videographer (just started my own company, Dry Fly Media, LLC), do web site construction and maintanence, am vice president of a real estate data analysis company, write free lance, and work at a local grocery store. I manage to stay busy. When people ask me if I am in college, I simply smile and shake my head. For most people, this is beyond their comprehension. "But what will you do with your future?" "You need a master's degree to compete in today's world" I am routinely told. I always point to the fact that college enrollment is dropping, as more and more people are realizing that they don't really need it for their goals. Myself, I have been actively involved in business for almost ten years. I know how it works, and am creative enough to make it work. So a big shout out to anyone out there who owns and runs their own business, you people are awesome. When I am not working, I am either fly fishing, hiking, or chasing elk with my bow (in season, of course). I am very happy to be a part of this lively community.
