Been to both locales long, long ago in 1985. Charleston is truly a beautiful place, but I could do without the Myrtle Beach Police Dept., who will arrest a poor college student for violating the city ordinance of... wait for it... sitting on the hood of his own car. Sure hope times have changed since then. Lots of memories from when I was a struggling undergrad at USC-Cola.

Dear Chris,

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes indeed, the cops are better these days!! I'm very prolific all oVER your board today, as a new member. Because I have an out-of-the box problem (Won't run, shows "no cassette" inaccurately, eject mechanism doesn't work) in the new XL-1S I just fitted together yesterday.

I wrote a long question at about 3 pm on the board---would you be willing to to go take a look at it and offer advice? I'd written you earlier in the day when I still thought the problemwas MINE, not the camera, so disregard that. I know you're swAMPED BUT i COULD SURE BENEFIT FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE!
