Magic Bullet v3.0

Magic Bullet v3.0 is coming this summer, now with "Magic Bullet Frames" that "offers *fast* and high-quality conversion of 60i materials to 24p or just de-interlacing of video in After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Premiere Pro, and Avid":

"Magic Bullet Looks" works in Vegas. However "Magic Bullet Frames" (60i to 24p / de-interlacing) will NOT work in Vegas, just as the current Magic Bullet Suite deinterlacer does not work in Vegas.

State of the Software 24P Solutions?

I've been wondering if there been many/any significant upgrades in the past year or so to the software solutions to achieve 24p?

And if so, how do they compare to native 24p (approximately)?

I use Magic Bullet v2.1 on postproduction now and it is so great. But deinterlacing with it is very slow process even on Core2duo. That's why I use After Effect's internal deinterlacer which is not so great but it is realtime.
So let's wait what v.3 will improve!

Magic Bullet 3.0

Any word on when 3.0 will be out on the market? I'm very interested in being able to apply it in FCP. All I see is "summer '07." This would be my first Red Giant Software purchase.

Does anyone have any other alternative options for the amazing filters/film effects I've seen from Magic Bullet? - specifically that would work with Final Cut Studio 2?

Colour? That is basically magic bullet with more options. You can do anything that MB can do with that program, although more work is necessary

Good Luck

Check out the new interface!

The new interface looks pretty amazing too. Kind of a drag and drop to the subject, mattebox, lens or camera, or a combo. Stu did a really nice video review http://www.studiodaily.com/main/news/feed.rss/8216.html
