Advice for Day for Night Shoot
Hello all,
I start shooting my latest film titled "Hämnden" (Swedish for "The Revenge") this week. In the script there is a scene in which a man runs through the woods at night. I will be shooting the film with a Canon XM2 (GL2) and a Sony VX 2000. For practical reasons I need to shoot the scene during the day I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with shooting day for night. I know how to make a day shot look like a night shot in post using any NLE or AE and the numerous plugins on offer. I also know how great the VX is in low light ...but... My question is to those who have attempted such shoots what sort of settings/camera handling work best? Cheers, Janssen Herr www.janssenherr.com |

Hi Janssen,
There is a lot of really good shooting information here already--hopefully enough to answer your specific questions. If you haven't read them already, take a look at all the links provided in here and see what you think. Good luck with your film!
