Newbie needs help getting film-look with DVX100a
Hey guys,
I'm new to video production & was wondering if there was tips you guys had for getting the best possible film look out of the 24p mode in the DVX100a. I'm using the preset for now - what settings can I tweak in the menu to get a better film look? The manual explains what each setting does, but I'm new to this & it's all Greek to me. Thanks in advanced, Hugo |

Thousands of Google hits on that subject. Probably hundreds on dvinfo alone. Basically:
Depth of Field Lighting Shoot as if you were shooting film (panning, etc.) Crush blacks (sometimes) saturate colours And a good smoke machine to accent the light is my personal fav'. That's the nutshell. |

You also have Barry Green's book about the DVX which - I haven't read it, as I don't have the DVX - has a very good reputation.
And then there is offcourse this site - do a search - and the big site about the DVX. It's something called like www.dvxuser.com but I'm not sure. Good luck! |
