Fixing shaky footage

Is it possible to fix some of your shaky shots in final cut and make em appear to be on a stabilizer? If so how is it done?

Perrone, great video that filter works incredibly well. I'll take a look at this filter next time I use Final Cut.

depending on the type and amount of shakiness, smoothcam gave me mixed results. Just got Lock and Load from CoreMelt which works much better and faster. There's a promo code too for dvinfo members. $20 off
type in "dvmaglnl09"

I use Red Giant's Magic Bullet Steady plug-in for After Effects. Results are pretty much identical to the SmoothCam example.

That's pretty interesting, question though... does it result in any resolution loss?

Always, because it has to scale up the footage to compensate for it's shakiness. After Effects has a nice stabilizer as well, and I heard CS4's is even better.
