I'm shooting a full length feature this month. Need a rundown list, please.
I'm hoping to transfer to film (24p). I'll have enough to do it hopefully by the beginning of next year. I'll be using VX2000 and 1000. I have a few questions I know you fellow vid buffs know the answers too. What in camera settings should I use (gainshift, color/white balances, etc). On the 1000 (know it's older) especially since it's older?

I think you would best just arrange your white ballance and other functions manually, and afterwards you can change the picture with postproduction. Leave your options open to do it in post.

Talk with the facility that is going to do the film transfer for you. They can
best tell you what things you should take into account (shutter speed for example). Full manual is usually best anyway and make sure you expose properly etc. I would leave all effects to post etc., since you are going to out to film I doubt you would need to add any "film look" effects or anything.
