speed conversion chart
does anyone know of a chart online that has speed conversions on it?
what i mean is, say i'm shooting a music video and have my audio play 30% faster and have my singer lip to that, how much do i have to slow it down in order for it to sync up with the original in post?

I'm not sure if I understand your question completely.... but for the example you gave no chart would be needed, just simple arithmetic. Shooting 30% faster is the equivalent of 130% normal speed, or 1.3x. Divide that number into one:
1 / 1.3 = 0.769 Therefore you would need to slow the video down to about 77% of its normal speed. |
