23.98fps 24bit 48kHz

I'm working on an independent feature film shooting on HD at 23.98fps and recording audio at 24bit 48kHz. We want to do a film-out from an HDCAM SR finish and I'm wondering if our choice of frame rate and audio bit and sample rate is a good one. Are there any conflicting opinions? We want the best possible quality while ensuring that everything in post will flow smoothly. We're editing on FCP and the sound design and mix will be done in Pro Tools. Any references to theatrical films would really be appreciated. Thanks!

My question here is concerning the overall picture... 23.98fps, 24-bit 48kHz and doing a film out from HDCAM SR. My other question was concerning audio choices only.

24bit 48k is perfectly fine quality wise.

Are you sending the audio to the camera to be recorded or is there a seperate recorder? Either way you shouldn't have any problems.
Sometimes problems arise when shooting film and then transferring to 23.98 HD for sound sync and editing. This is due to the pulldown 24fps->23.98fps, but that doesn't apply here.

This is perfectly normal workflow for a film out.
Anyone shooting HD for film out is probably going to have the same workflow.

Audio at 48k 24bit, shoot at 23.98 (not 24) and your fine.
