A quick survey for freelance cam ops and editors (re: hours worked)
A quesiton to the full time freelance camera operators and editors that wish to participate:
1) How many hours of paid work on average did you do during the beginning of your freelancing? 2) How many hours of paid work do you do, on average, per week now? I apologize if this topic has been discussed before. I did a search, and the closest search result I came up with was discussions about the length of work weeks including paid -and- unpaid work. I am not referring to administrative work, but rather time when a client is paying you an hourly wage. Afterall, when you work freelance you're always working, rather it is selling yourself, making contacts, or licking stamps. Thanks in advance. |

1) How many hours of paid work on average did you do during the beginning of your freelancing? **8 per week**
2) How many hours of paid work do you do, on average, per week now? ***About 1 hour per week*** What happened? I stopped letting people screw me over! My biggest mistakes: A) Working for "friends". B) Not getting the money up front.
