Low interest funding source
My employer does some investing on the side and showed me this site one day when I was looking for a loan for some capital improvements to my office/studio and photo equipment, and thought I would share this. I hope I chose the right thread to put this in.
Some of you may have seen this already - prosper.com. It's a community of individual private investors bidding on loans from various people with various credit ratings. It seems pretty low risk and the interest rates seem to be on average several percentage points below unsecured bank loans, and WAY lower than credit card rates. Loans are for 3 years, and I think the largest loan you can get is $25,000. If you want to see my listing just to see how it works, it's here: https://www.prosper.com/public/lend/...stingID=103134 It's ending today, but hopefully they'll leave the listing active for a while so you can see some of the process. I'm not affiliated with prosper at all, don't have anything to gain from this post, just wanted to bring this up in case someone is thinking about putting a large investment on a credit card or some other high interest rate loan. Just something to think about. |
