Help!!! with Project
Getting involved in a project with which is not outside my abilities however am concerned on pricing.
Involves 10 minutes of finished video for a corporate entity. One Hdv camera will be used to capture all shots. Most of the work is inside of facility. We are putting together a story board that is going to specifically written for the promotion of this companies services. The end product will be distributed on dvd and on the web in a shorter version. This is a major local company with money to spend so I don't want to short change myself on charging especially when the end result is suppose to be professional. Basically it is a 10 minute promotional video for a corporation. Probbly some interviews involved aswell. What should I charge for shooting/ per day basis as this may involve more than a few days? What should I charge for average lighting of scenes services? Editing per hour? I know what i have to pay for the music, should i be marking up the time i spend on getting and securing the music for use in the project and for the web? Finished duplications/going to have them made probably need 1000? Condensing the finished product for a short web video? Storyboard writing? When i put these into a contract should these be per hour listed or by the service listed? oh i am in ct aswell if this gives you a better scope of area pricing concerns. Any good suggestions are much appreciated... thanks dv info |

Tough call. When I lived and worked in Virginia we used this company and they posted their prices on their web site. This should get you in the ballpark.
