Music television show contract
It's been a while since doing a music show.I'm producing a 1/2 hour program made for television that involves recording performances by the singer/songwriter.The performance is not a general public performance,it is done specifically for the show.
I have searched for a contract that might be suitable for this condition but have not found it. The artist of course will retain the rights to the song however we wish to have the rights to use the song and likeness of the artist for the purpose of the show and for the purpose of marketing the show and we wish to hold the rights to the production of DVDs. I would run anything I come up with by our lawyer but the lawyer is not an entertainment lawyer so they don't have an example either. Has anyone used something similar? For information, this is a Canadian production. Thanks |

Maybe I asked this the wrong way.
Where do you get your contracts from for specialty productions? |
