Snapshot of Job Opportunites
Just took a look at Mandy.com for job opportunies open to editors. Here's a breakdown.
For "Fully Paid" positions- 15 jobs requiring Avid Experience 4 jobs requiring Final Cut Pro 4 jobs where the platform was not specified. For "Low -No- Deferred" payment jobs 7 jobs requiring Avid experience 13 jobs requiring FCP experience 1 job open to Premiere experience 14 jobs open to non-specified experience. NOTE: Many of the LoNo jobs were open to people with their own systems, and some were open to more than one platform.IE: "Whatever system you have." For those looking to "break in", the LoNo listings have some interesting possiblilities. - Bill |

I'll second that. I found some people looking for a camera operator, to shoot a short indi feature. No pay, but I get credit and copy, not to mention , hone my skills. Ya never know...
