Hey- Things don't always follow the course you choose. You plan on going one direction, and opportunity springs up the other way.
No matter which way you chose to go, do put the effort into a plan. Then, make a couple of contingency plans. If you don't know what you are doing, find somebody that does and learn from them. If you can't shoot, but edit well, find somebody that can shoot decent. Work together to figure out how to improve as a team. And, to throw in my "what might I do with $2ook to work with" thoughts... I would like a decent parcel with a 15,000 sq ft studio with sound stage. You could rent it out p/t to bands wanting demo CDs. Maybe do a few videos of them too... And if I were to go that route, I'd look for a good sound person.
