need help with resume......
Hey Guys,
I lost my old resume and need to create a new one. The problem I'm having is writing the duties I did at a particular job. for example I worked at a TV station and worked as a master control op then was promoted to production where I shot and edited spots, promos and long form programming. How would you word this in a resume? Is their any samples of this on the web? THANKS ALOT........... here in Chocolate City (New Orleans), Andrew |

Always list your final job as your "job title". But then in job description, mention everything you did. The fact that a company promoted you is a big plus...

http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=56743 2- If your employer is hiring based on a resume, then I would say: A- They probably don't have very much experience with video production. B- They are hiring for a not-so-important position (i.e. screening for interns/assistants). Usually networking / word of mouth is the way to get jobs. But if people do ask you for a resume, think about what they would like to read. Write for your audience. Who are you applying to? If you know they are looking for certain things, put those things as highlights at the very top of your resume. |
