Being Successful at Corporate Video Production
I deliberately don't usually discuss the business side of things on DVInfo, or indeed other web forums, just the technical and (occasionally) the creative aspects of videography.
However, it occurred to me that this recent blog post might help a few people who are involved in (or are thinking of getting into) corporate film production. Sure, it relates to my journey over the last 8 years with my company Shooting Image Ltd and how I choose to do things. I've not divulged any business sensitive information in this short article so that I can make it public as life is about learning from others and sharing experiences. And thanks to many good people on here I've learnt a heck of a lot! Being Successful at Producing Corporate Videos | AndyKWilkinson Hope this helps! And to all my American friends, have a truly great Thanksgiving!

Re: Being Successful at Corporate Video Production
Andy,
I have to compliment you on your demo reel. It is one of the best corporate reels I have ever seen. No flash and drama, no cherry picked beauty shots all over it. Straight forward and honest. It is about you and your way of doing business, very respectable. And I give you credit for putting yourself in front of the camera, not an easy thing to do! I tried it once and I sucked big time at it. Nice Work! Steve

Thank you! That is a wonderful compliment Steve!
I'm a pretty straightforward guy and wanted to get that across. Luckily, most of my big corporate clients here in this part of the UK seem to like my approach :-) I owe you a cyber beer - or two!

Hi Andy
It was great to read your article and see what you do. The video explaining your work was really well made and your 'to camera' work was very good, not easy. Thanks for sharing.
