One-On-One Advice partner?
Looking for someone who is not in my market area who runs a similarly sized (or perhaps slightly larger) video production business who I can bounce ideas off of and who can do the same with me. I know basically everyone in my market, but with the implied competition, I don't really want all my dirty laundry out there with those folks.
Someone with 2-10 employees, doing $250k - $500k / yr, corporate/government/industrial video. Not looking to get married or anything, just exchange an e-mail or a 20 minute phone call once a month or something. Any ideas on where I can find this person, or is that person lurking on this forum? |

That is a darn good idea. We do that on this forum, to some extent, but having a person to run ideas by who won't use them against us, seems like a great approach!

Re: One-On-One Advice partner?
Well, my business is just me. I hire freelancers 4 or 5 times a year
for bigger jobs but usually I'm it. I also don't fit you income profile, as a smaller business there is no way I do 250-500k per year. I do alright though as I'm the only one I have to pay :) I do a lot of government (I live in our capital city and have been hired by our state's governor for video projects) and corporate video though. If you are willing to bend your requirements a little, I'd give it a try. |
