Pay Per View event coverage
How would one go about arranging for pay per view for an event video?
As far as filming and inputting to an internet connected pc goes I would consider that a different topic. What I am asking about is, are there any sites already set up allowing us the videographers to create a template for our business and allow charging to clients for videos we manage to stream through it. Maybe even incorporate this into our own sites? Or must we build one from the ground up, so to speak? Has/is this been/being done? All suggestions welcome. |

Re: Pay Per View event coverage
YouTube may not be the best as far as quality goes, but they do offer rentals. YouTube Rentals Beta (US Only) - YouTube
*edit.. nevermind, it's only a US thing. |

Re: Pay Per View event coverage
I've built a few such systems over the years. Right now, I like this setup:
Vimeo Pro for video hosting and players (set to private) Wordpress Wishlist member management You can see it running here: Driving Sports: Exclusive news, views and videos from the auto world. (we sell show access by the season with unlimited viewing of the purchased season - its not a subscription. Wishlist also allows "pay by post" which could work for rentals, but I haven't yet tried that specific setup.) |
