How much do I cost?
Hi
I'm looking for some ground rules. People here have been really helpful and so I naturally turn to you again. I've been approached by a poet who wants to work on an impressionist underground piece on weekends. He's ready to spend a year on it. He had talked to me before after seeing a film I did and I just said $100/day. I've never been for hire before so I don't know. He now says that that was ridicously low and he won't hold me to it. This guy's good! And makes very good bucks but I don't want to either low ball or be outrageous. Does one charge by the day, by the project, by the hour. This is NYC /NJ. What and how are people charging these days for creative collaborative projects? |

If you've got your own rig, think how much it would be to rent that per day.
But for an extended discussion, check out this thread: "How much should I charge?" Michael |
