Budgets+proposals+contracts
Hello dvinfo.net,
I have a small video & photography business based in nyc. I've been shooting for a year and I've always been paid either with hard cash or money order. I'm targeting bigger companies and would like to draw proposals+budgets whatever. I would like some advice and even possibly some help--does anyone have a example they could show me and some info on whats best to give to clients? |

Michael,
I'm sending you an e-mail with two examples: one contract and one budget for a small western. It's for 35 mm film, but the principles obviously are the same. A book I find very useful for examples of forms and contracts is: "The Complete Film Production Handbook" by Eve Light Honthaner (Focal Press). It covers big productions, but you can select what you need. Good luck. Dan. |

thanks Dan,
Your info is very usefull--I really really like the proposal and I'm revising it a little bit so it fits my needs. Using this type of contract will definetly be good for me. I also plan to order that book you suggested-thanks for the help. Michael Mcconnell |

Hi Chris,
I had tweaked some existing files, but threw them away after e-mailing Michael. Perhaps you can send him an e-mail asking for a copy or perhaps he will see this post amd send the files to you. If that doesn't work please post again or e-mail me directly and I'll "tweak" the files again, but it's quicker & easier if Mike still has them. |

Hi there,
I am currently doing an advertising proposal, and your example may be of great use to me. Do you mind sending a copy to me as well? Thanks a lot. |
