Short film press release?
I am putting on a big event for my debut 3 short films, and wondering how to get the word out to the press. The press release stuff I have found online is mainly for businesses releasing products etc. What about for film? How should one be set up? I threw this together but not sure how to simplify the info to fit into the text standard and make it worth reading. Could use some advice, thanks

I'm gonna go at it from a non industry side, but the way we do it in university is facebook... set up a page/group and invite all your friends to it and ask them invite all their friends to it and it trickles down... could reach 2000 people in a day...
Could also contact local highschool media class teachers, I know my teach loved talking about this type of stuff going on in the community and loved to get us involved. I'm sure other people will have better ideas then myself though.
