automobile manufacturers
I think I know the answer to this, but I want to ask some
of you experts to be assured. Say I make a short film in which the main character drives around in a 93 Toyota pickup. Do I have to get any sort of permission or whatever for having the Toyota logo showing up throughout the film? Are there any laws that apply to automobile brands and movies? Thanks! |

Do you plan on showing or selling the film to make money?
If in doubt, put some tape over the Toyota logo.

Hi Dylan!
The Toyota was just an example. I am actually planning on using 3D models of the more expensive vehicles. I could create a completely non-real car, but I want something that people can identify. (Say, a BMW Z4 or something) However, I may just have to not design the decals, as you are saying about the tape thing. Thank you! |
