Song covers...?
If I get a band to do a cover of a popular copyrighted song, is it ok to use the cover?
Thanks. |

Thats a very tricky subject. I'm guessing that the orginial owner will still hold the copyright to the lyrics, and music????
I believe that Madona got sued for using parts of somebody elses song and in the end they settled out of court. Therefore suggesting its not OK. I could be wrong All the best, Ed

Your performance is covered but you still need rights to the song.
