Trying to be legal
Recently I've been concerned with legal issues that may effect my ability to film and thus distribute short films and documentaries. I am trying to prepare myself with everything I should be aware of as an amature film maker.
What I plan to do is make films for myself but possibly advertize my services to those who would like to have a short documentary done on anything within my capabilities. Mainly organizations, societies, groups and clubs, national historic sites etc.. In any case, I would like to know exactly what I need to know about any legal issues I might face at any point in time during my filming adventures. Recommended books are a good reference. Thanks, Terry.

Brush up on copyright law and issues, especially in regard to music licensing, still images, and use of existing footage.
