Does anyone have any experience in finding underwriters for a show or documnetary.
I funded a show with my own money, expenses mainly. I have found a distributor and I am allowed 60 seconds of underwriter/sponsorship for the program. I can break it up into 4, 15 seconds spots for a total of 4 underwriters. They run at the beginning and end of the show.

My question is how did any of you go about contacting companies to help underwrite the program?

I've had some luck so far in getting regional directors for companies like Coca-Cola. I am sending them a proposal, and hope to hear back soon.

Also has anyone had any success pitching a show to networks, and how did you go about that?

A lot of networks do not take unsolicited material, so that makes the process even more difficult I'm finding.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
