Canadian pay scale for editors? (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal)) at DVinfo.net

I recently moved back to Canada (from Philadelphia, currently in Montreal) and have been considering looking at other job markets, namely Toronto and Vancouver. I was wondering what the average pay scale is for experienced editors for short term gigs, as well as long-term salaried positions.

Any ideas?

What niche/area of editing are you talking about?
e.g. low end or high-end
weddings, corporate, news, etc. etc.

Otherwise it's just a huge range (e.g. $20k to four times that).
